Daniel J. Beless

Dr. Beless is the current Medical Director at Hyperbaric Physicians of Georgia in Sandy Springs wound care center in Atlanta and has been an active member of Hyperbaric Physicians of Georgia since 1998.
He previously served as Director at Crawford Long Emergency Department for over 13 years and is also the former Director of the Crawford Long Hospital Hyperbaric Medicine Unit. Dr. Beless was on faculty of Emory University Department of Emergency Medicine and is still active in lecturing for the Emory University Medical School and residency programs on hyperbaric medicine and advanced wound care therapy.

Dr. Hodgson graduated from the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2007.
She served in the Air Force as a Flight Surgeon at Vance Air Force Base, where she met her husband, an Air Force pilot, and went on to complete a Family Medicine residency at David Grant Medical Center in Fairfield, CA. After residency, she completed a four-year tour at Randolph Air Force Base before being hand-picked to join the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine Program. Dr. Hodgson was the first graduate of the Program since it moved to the Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. After fellowship, Dr. Hodgson, now a Lt. Col. in the Air Force, became the Associate Program Medical Director of the Undersea & Hyperbarics Program at BAMC before joining the 165th Airlift Wing in Savannah, GA as a seasoned Flight Surgeon. Dr. Hodgson joined Regenerative & Hyperbaric Medicine in 2020 and is now the Medical Director at our Center in Cumming, Georgia. She has three daughters (Alice, Claire, and Savannah), and her husband now works for Delta Air Lines. Dr. Hodgson has recently upgraded to a full-fledged Soccer Mom.

Dr. McGlynn earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York, in 2019. He remained at SUNY Upstate to complete his residency in emergency medicine, which he finished in 2022.
In 2023, he completed a fellowship in undersea and hyperbaric medicine at Advocate Aurora Health Care in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. During that time, he worked with numerous patients requiring hyperbaric oxygen therapy, as well as those needing general wound care.
Later in 2023, Dr. McGlynn began practicing hyperbaric medicine and wound care at Corewell Health in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he treated many patients in a busy clinical setting. His work included managing cases involving life- and limb-threatening conditions. During this period, he also served as director of the wound healing program at Select Specialty Hospital’s Grand Rapids location.
Throughout his career in undersea and hyperbaric medicine, Dr. McGlynn has treated hundreds of patients for a range of conditions, including diabetic foot ulcers, delayed radiation injuries, and sudden hearing loss. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Joanna, and their children, JJ and Clara. Together, they enjoy learning Spanish and playing music.

Parul Patel
MD
Dr. Patel graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1991. She finished one year of General Surgery internship at UTHSCSA. She completed a three-year residency in Anesthesia at Baylor College of Medicine. After this, she decided to change fields to Family Practice. She graduated from Family Practice residency in 1998 from UT Health Center in Houston. She has been board-certified in Family Medicine since then.
Dr. Patel joined Fairfield Medical Center in Cypress, Texas, and was in private practice there for 15 years. During this time, she was exposed to wound care and hyperbaric medicine as a referring physician. She found the field intriguing as it combined her previous surgical and anesthesia skills with the experience she had gained from the medical management of her family practice patients. She became certified in Wound Care in February 2025. Dr. Patel is excited to be joining Regenerative & Hyperbaric Medicine and is beginning to feel at home in Atlanta.
She is the mother of a son named Ryan and has twin daughters named Meena and Megan. She is the mother-in-law to Victoria and “grandma“ to grand-dog Max.

Alex Hardie
Alex brings nearly a decade of experience in hyperbaric medicine to the role of Director of Safety and Technical Services.
With a background as a CHT and certification as a Hyperbaric Safety Director, he has developed extensive expertise in both patient care and the technical operations that ensure safe, effective treatments.
Alex has successfully led safety initiatives and implemented projects that strengthen compliance with all applicable safety codes and operational standards across the organization. In addition to his clinical experience, Alex ensures the completion of preventative maintenance for all chambers and their sub-systems, which is essential for maintaining safety and compliance. Additionally, Alex oversees the training of new staff members and provides ongoing training for current staff, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to safety, operational excellence, and a culture of continuous improvement.
